Park gates of Tarangire national park: Tarangire national park has 2 park gates, one located on the parks’ Western border the other in the North Eastern border. The gates to the park are open at 6:00am and closed by 6:00pm.

 Sangaiwe gate

Located on North of Sangaiwe hills on the Western border of Tarangire national park.
Approximately 40 minutes’ drive from Babati-Makuyuni route.

This gate is mostly used by tourists coming in from the South or West, that is Babati and Mbulu respectively.

Different accommodation facilities to choose from are available for visitors to Tarangire national park around the gate areas, both inside and outside.

Boundary hill gate

It is the main entrance gate that most visitors use to access Tarangire national park.

Located on the North East border of Tarangire national park.

Has a security check point and ranger outpost.
