DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1-6: Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro
For day 1 to day 6 of your 10-day safari, you will be on Mount Kilimanjaro on your journey to conquering the mountain and reach its summit at Uhuru peak (5,895m). You will climb the mountain using the Lemosho route. It is one of the several routes that lead to the summit of Kilimanjaro.
Lemosho route has breathtaking views, making it one of the most beautiful routes on Mt. Kilimanjaro ascending the mountain from the West and it has a great summit success. You will walk through the evergreen rainforest, cross the Shira plateau, go through the alpine desert and the icefields till the snowcapped peak. Anyone in good mental and physical health with different hiking experiences can take on the Lemosho route.
Campsites of this route include; Mti Mkubwa, Shira camp 1, Shira camp 2, Barranco camp, Karanga camp, Barafu camp and Mweka camp. On day 6, you will meet with your safari driver guide who will drive you to your hotel in Arusha.
Day 7: Arusha – Rest Day
You will have this day to yourself to rest, re-energize and prepare for your Tanzania wildlife adventure. You could take a walk around Arusha town and do some shopping of what you could need for next days of your 10-day safari. Overnight in Arusha.
Day 8: To Tarangire national park
Early morning after your breakfast, your safari driver guide will drive you to Tarangire national park, home of huge elephant herds. You will embark on a game drive upon arrival in the park in search of the wildlife that traverse the savannah plains of Tarangire. Look out for buffalos, elephants, buffalos, giraffes, zebras, lions, impalas and more. By sunset, you will drive to your lodge for the night and dinner.
Day 9: To Lake Manyara national park
Early morning transfer to Lake Manyara national park with packed food for a picnic lunch. You will enjoy a full day game drive in this beautiful park. Hoping to set eyes on the famous tree climbing lions of Lake Manyara national park. Other optional activities in the park include canoeing on Lake Manyara, guided walking safaris and night game drives.
Day 10: End of safari
We come to the end of your 10-day Lake Manyara, Tarangire and Kilimanjaro hiking. With a transfer back to Arusha for a drop off at the airport.
