DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Have an early breakfast at your hotel in Arusha and thereafter met up with your safari driver guide and start your safari driving to Tarangire national park, home to huge herds of African elephants and beautiful ancient baobab trees. Embark on a game drive on arrival in the park looking out for elephants, zebras, giraffes, lions, wildebeests, gazelles, hartebeests, hyenas, impalas, buffalos and more. You will then drive to your safari lodge for check in, lunch and some relaxation time.
Later in the day when it is cooler, you will head out for more game viewing on a rewarding game drive towards the famous Tarangire River which supports the wildlife of the park especially during the hot dry season. Expect to see hippos submerged in the water, different bird species and other animals grazing near the river banks. Dinner and overnight back at your safari lodge.
Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park -End of safari
After breakfast, check out, pack hot food for your picnic lunch and drive to Lake Manyara national park. Embark on a rewarding exploration of the beautiful park driving to different areas around the park especially areas around the Lake Manyara from which the park gets its name. The lake covers at least 2 thirds of the whole park area.
At a safe picnic spot, you will have your lunch and then continue to explore the park. You will encounter different antelope species like waterbucks, wildebeests, gazelles, impalas, elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, hyenas, buffalos, leopards, giraffes and lots of bird species mostly the beautiful sight of pink flamingos on Lake Manyara. You safari comes to an end with a transfer back to Arusha.
