DETAILED ITINERARY TARANGIRE, SERENGETI & NGORONGORO
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire national park – Game drive
You will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha town by your tour guide driver after you breakfast, and with a hot packed food for your lunch drive to Tarangire national park for a full day game viewing experience.
This park is famously known as the home of the elephants in Tanzania as huge herds of the largest land mammal inhabit the unique park that is dotted with giant baobab trees. While on the game drive you ill encounter the zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, giraffes, hippos, lions, hyenas, elephants and different bird species. Visit the Tarangire River that supports the park and its wildlife especially during the hot dry season. Overnight at your chosen lodge in Tarangire.
Day 2: Transfer to Serengeti national park
Early morning rise and morning game drive after which you will exit Tarangire national park and drive further North to the most popular park in Tanzania, Serengeti national park. You will arrive in the afternoon, check in at your lodge, have you lunch and take time to relax. In the later afternoon, you will take on a game drive in the heart of Serengeti, the Seronera region for a thrilling game viewing experience. This region teems with varied wildlife especially in areas along the Seronera River. Look out for wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, gazelles, zebras, rhinos, lions, hippos, buffalos, hyenas, cheetahs among others. Overnight at your chosen lodge in Serengeti.
Day 3: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Take on a pre-sunrise game drive in Serengeti national park for chances of seeing the nocturnal animals of the Serengeti plains or you can opt for a thrilling hot air balloon safari over the plains of Serengeti for a whole different game viewing experience. Return to the lodge, have breakfast, check out with packed hot food for your picnic lunch and drive off to the scenic Ngorongoro conservation area. You will embark on a game drive upon arrival, exploring the Ngorongoro plains and areas around the crater rim with beautiful sceneries and landscapes. Overnight at your chosen lodge in Ngorongoro or in the nearby Karatu area.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater game drive – Departure
Rise up early, have breakfast. Drive to the Ngorongoro crater for a 4-5 hour long rewarding game drive on the floor of this massive caldera that is home to over 25,000 animals. Including lions, black rhinos, buffalos, elephants, leopards, wildebeests, zebras, cheetahs, hippos, hyenas and a diverse birdlife. Take time to enjoy your picnic lunch.
