DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire national park

Pick up from the airport or transfer from your hotel in Arusha to Tarangire national park. Named after the Tarangire River, which is the lifeline of the park and its inhabitants, Tarangire national park is known as a home to large herds of the African elephants, giant baobab trees and unique scenic landscapes. Enjoy some wildlife sighting on a game drive upon arrival in the park then drive to your lodge for a delicious lunch. Later in the afternoon, head out and explore more of the park driving to Tarangire River. For excellent animal and bird sightings. Overnight at the lodge or camp.

Day 2: Morning game drive to Lake Natron

Rise before the sun and head out for an early game drive and watch the sun light up the park at sunrise revealing its natural beauty. Get a chance to see some predator-prey action as the animals start off their day. Return to your lodge for breakfast and after exit the park and drive to Lake Natron at the lowest point of the Great Rift valley in Tanzania. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch after which you will go on a guided walk or visit to a Maasai village.

Day 3: Explore Lake Natron

After your breakfast, you will go on a guided walk along the shores of Lake Natron. With an experienced guide who will tell you all about the most alkaline lake. In the great rift valley and why it appears red at times. Enjoy the scenic views of Ol Doinyo Lengai mountain. The rich birdlife in the area including the thousands of lesser flamingos that feed and breed in Lake Natron, spot some wildlife like zebras and wildebeests and take a hike to the waterfall. Optional visit to a Maasai village for some cultural experience.

Day 4: Transfer back to Arusha

Enjoy the beautiful morning at your lodge as you take your breakfast. Then check out and your safari guide will drive you back to Arusha town. Or drop you at the airport for your home bound flight.
