DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Airport pick up to Arusha
Your 10-day best of Tanzania safari driver guide will be at the airport waiting for your arrival. He will welcome you to the country and then drive you to your hotel / lodge in Arusha where you will spend your first night in Tanzania.
Day 2: To Lake Manyara National Park
Early morning breakfast and transfer to Lake Manyara national park on an approximately 2-hour drive. Lake Manyara is known for its famous but rare tree climbing lions and thousands of lesser flamingos that flock Lake Manyara. Take on a full day game drive to explore the small but beautiful park with an option of enjoying a night game drive if you are up to it or a brief tour of Mto wa Mbu town.
Day 3-4: Serengeti National Park
From Lake Manyara, you will spend these 2 days exploring the vast Serengeti national park. The home of the wildebeest migration has a lot to offer during the migration and when the migration is off to the Masai Mara in Kenya. You will drive to different regions of the Serengeti for a full wilderness experience.
Day 5: To Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Early morning, you will exit the Serengeti to Ngorongoro conservation area where you will embark on a game drive on arrival exploring the areas outside the crater.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater game drive to Tarangire National Park
You will have an early breakfast. After drive to the crater rim and descend to the floor of the world natural wonder. The Ngorongoro crater home to at least 30,000 animals. Explore the crater floor for about 4-5 hours expecting to encounter the Big 5, the lions, black rhinos, elephants, leopards, buffalos among many other animals and birds. Have your picnic lunch by the hippo pool side and then ascend the crater wall driving back to your lodge for check out and then drive to Tarangire national park.
Day 7: Tarangire National Park
Today you get to explore one of the largest national parks in Tanzania home to a huge population of elephants and ancient giant baobab trees. Expect to encounter elephants, lions, zebras, buffalos, impalas among other animals.
Day 8-9: Beach holiday in Zanzibar
Time for your beach holiday on the tropical paradise island of Zanzibar. You will be driven to Arusha airport for your connecting flight to Zanzibar. Here a representative from your chosen lodge or beach resort hotel will pick you up and take you to the facility. Spend your beach holiday at leisure.
Day 10: End of safari
Your 10-day best of Tanzania safari comes to an end today. With a drop off at the airport in Zanzibar to catch your flight back home.
